The Z4A model is a bit thicker than a 7A jazz stick, but thinner that a 5A rock stick. The reach is very good, they have a good weight to them all throughout the stick, and feel solid, but not too heavy. I have them in nylon tips, and they create a dense 'ping' on cymbals, while adding deep clarity to drums.
